Water users and managers alike can expand beyond the efficiencies achieved from planning and modeling using the SWIIM® software suite through SWIIM®’s use of remote sensing to automatically calibrate in-field instrumentation and regional data acquired through other sources.
This includes satellite-sensed data, low-altitude aerial flights and regionally-acquired weather data. This multi-dimensional combination of technologies is interconnected (field instrumentation with remote sensed data) into an easy-to-use dashboard which allows one to monitor crop water budgets more accurately than has ever been possible before. Co-developed under a multi-year research and development contract with the US Department of Agriculture, the system utilizes region-specific data, which is compared against real-life activities in the field.
An interface designed for water managers including ditch companies, irrigation districts, large-scale corporate growers and farming co-ops. The package is designed to allow for aggregation of a series of planned fields water budgets. This includes monitoring and reporting of actual applied and consumed water use within a region.
